In a significant move toward fostering unity and strengthen collaboration in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector, the newly elected National Executive President of NUPENG, Comrade Salimon Akanni Oladiti, led a high-powered delegation on a courtesy visit to the National Secretariat of the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) in Utako, Abuja.

Accompanied by Comrade Akin Oladejo (Deputy President), Comrade Joseph I. Akinlaja (former General Secretary), Comrade Saheed Gbolahan Adigun (National Security Coordinator/PTD Lagos Zonal Chairman), Comrade Mathias O. Ote (Informal Sector Adviser/PTD National Chairman), and Comrade Suleiman M. Pema (Assistant General Secretary, Research & Public Affairs), the team received a warm reception from Alhaji Yusuf Lawal Othman, NARTO National President.

The visit also drew notable stakeholders from the downstream value chain, all present to welcome the new NUPENG helmsman, including:

The courtesy visit/meeting served as a vital platform for the key players—PTD-NUPENG, NARTO, and IPMAN—to deliberate on pressing industry issues, explore areas of synergy, and collectively map out strategies that would advance the interests of their members and contribute to the nation’s economic growth.

Together, the stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to dialogue, cooperation, and sustainable progress in Nigeria’s petroleum transport and distribution value chain.
