The Nigeria Pipelines and Storage Company (NPSC) Limited Branch of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) convened its 6th Quadrennial Branch Delegates Conference at the Dome Hall, Top Rank Hotel Galaxy, Utako, on Thursday, 30th July 2026, in a landmark event marking a new chapter for the branch.
The epoch-making gathering witnessed the presence of the Union’s Executive President, Comrade Salimon Akanni Oladiti, alongside distinguished Union leaders including Comrade Otite Onohwohwo, Acting General Secretary; Comrade Baba Usman Kaumi, National Treasurer/NPSC Branch Chairman; Comrade Abdullahi Haruna (63), Chairman-NUPENG Kaduna Zone; Comrade Solomon Kilanko, National Ex-Officio, and Comrade Lawrence Alabala, Admin Head Kaduna Zone.
In his goodwill message, Comrade Oladiti lauded the management of NNPC/NPSC for fostering mature and constructive industrial relations, significantly reducing the need for direct Union intervention in branch negotiations.
The conference culminated in a peaceful election, ushering in a new 12-member executive team to lead the branch for the next four years. Comrade West Bereibibo Blessing emerged as Branch Chairman, with Comrade Kamba Abubakar Mohammed as Vice Chairman, and Comrade Yunana Emmanuel O. as Branch Secretary.
The new leadership also includes Comrade Obo Ngedo Galas as Branch Welfare Officer and Comrade Onyebuchi Sunday Reginald as Branch PRO, faces the responsibility of navigating the rapidly transforming oil and gas industry while prioritizing workers’ rights and interests.
The outgoing leadership was commended for their selfless service and blemish-free stewardship over the past four years.
