The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) successfully convened its first Emergency National Executive Council (NEC) meeting since the inauguration of its new leadership led by Comrade Salimon Akanni Oladiti.

The emergency meeting was held just three weeks after the 6th Quadrennial National Delegates Conference, which produced the new executive council. The session was presided over by the newly elected President, Comrade Oladiti, and provided a platform for NEC members to foster cohesion, assess the union’s current standing, and receive a comprehensive briefing from the Acting General Secretary, Comrade Otite Onohwohwo.

At the conclusion of the meeting, NEC members expressed their unwavering support and loyalty to the new President, pledging to work collectively toward elevating the union to greater heights.
