In a decisive move to foster stronger industry relations, Comrade Salimon Akanni Oladiti, the newly elected National Executive President of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), led a high-powered delegation of downstream sector stakeholders on a landmark courtesy visit to the National Security Adviser, Mr. Nuhu Ribadu, at his Three Arms Zone office in Abuja on Wednesday 24th June 2026.

The NSA warmly received the delegation, congratulating Comrade Salimon Akanni Oladiti on his emergence and extending best wishes for a productive tenure, while reaffirming his unwavering support for the Union and the sector at large.

In his remarks, the NUPENG President expressed profound gratitude to the NSA for his consistent backing before, during, and after the 6th Quadrennial National Delegates Conference held in April 2026, which paved the way for his leadership. He further reaffirmed the Union’s steadfast commitment, alongside other stakeholders—to ensuring uninterrupted distribution of petroleum products to every part of the nation, reinforcing energy security and national stability.
