The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) Kaduna Zonal Council recently organized its annual Industrial Relations Seminar at Asa Pyramid Hotels in Kaduna City. Aligned with the Union’s unwavering commitment to workers’ education and training, the seminar brought together representatives from various branches of the Union.

Theme: “Unionization and Technological Advancement: Issues and Prospects for Consideration”.

During the two-day event, participants engaged in intensive learning, shared knowledge, and strategic planning. Experienced resource persons facilitated thought-provoking discussions, workshops, and interactive sessions.

Comrade Lawal Abdulrahman, Chairman of the Kaduna Zonal Council, inaugurated the seminar, emphasizing the importance of member education. He highlighted the need to address the evolving realities of the Oil and Gas Industry, encouraging active participation from all attendees.

Dignitaries present included Comrade Adamu Song (former General Secretary of the Union), NUPENG National Executive Council (NEC) members, and representatives from government agencies.

The event concluded with the awarding of certificates/plaques to participants, equipping them to advocate for workers’ rights, promote education, and shape the future of work.
