NUPENG PORT HARCOURT ZONAL COUNCIL CONVENES ANNUAL INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS SEMINAR

The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) Port Harcourt Zonal Council recently organized its annual Industrial Relations Seminar at Watbridge Hotels and Resort in the Garden City of Port Harcourt.

Aligned with the Union’s leadership unwavering commitment to workers’ education and training, the seminar brought together representatives from various branches of the Union.

Seminar Theme: “Unionization and Technological Advancement: Issues and Prospects for Consideration”.

During the two-day event, participants engaged in intensive learning, shared knowledge, and strategic planning. Experienced resource persons facilitated thought-provoking lectures, discussions, workshops, and interactive sessions.

Comrade Mina Samuel, Chairman, Port Harcourt Zonal Council of NUPENG, declared the seminar open, he emphasized the importance of member education. He highlighted the need to address the evolving realities of the Oil and Gas Industry, encouraging active participation from all attendees.

Dignitaries present at the event included Comrade Alex Agwanwor (National Treasurer of NUPENG), Comrade Prince Moses (Vice President NUPENG), National Executive Council (NEC) members of NUPENG, representatives from government agencies and Oil and Gas companies domiciled in Port Harcourt.

The event concluded with the award of certificates to participants, equipping them to advocate for workers’ rights, promote member education, and shape the future of work.
