The Surface Tank Kerosene Peddlers (SUKATEP) Branch of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) held their 4th Quadrennial National Delegates’ Conference on 13^th June 2024 in Benin City, Edo State. 

The conference was conducted in a serene and calm atmosphere at Limoh Hotels & Suites, Benin-City. At the end of the proceedings, the following officers were returned elected;

Treasurer                     –           Comrade Adeyemo Kudirat

Trustee                        –           Comrade Muazu Umar Isa 

Financial Secretary      –           Comrade Bright Eneruyi

Auditor                        –           Comrade Asimi Fasilat

PRO                             –           Comrade Joseph Oluwole-Ojo

Assistant Secretary     –           Comrade Felix Akinwande

Welfare                       –           Comrade Chioma Bright Okereke

Chief Whip                  –           Comrade Ishaku Ibrahim
In addition, the following were adopted as the Ex-officio of the Branch

Comrades Udochi Nwangumah          – Ex-officio

Comrade Vickmate Martha                – Ex-officio

The returning officer for the elections was Comrade Onohwohwo Otite (DGS-Special Duties) while the leadership of the Union was ably represented at the Conference by Comrade Thompson Ogbodo, National Auditor of the Union and Comrade Charity Azih, Administrative Head of Warri Zonal Council of the Union as observers.

This democratic exercise reaffirms the commitment of SUKATEP to upholding the principles of the Union and ensuring effective representation of its members.

The newly elected executives will now take office to serve the Branch for the next term.
