In line with the democratic traditions and constitutional provisions of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), the bye-elections of the Surface Tank Kerosene Peddlers (SUTAKEP) Branch of NUPENG were successfully organised and concluded.

The bye-elections were held at the NUPENG Tower Multi-purpose Hall, 9 Jibowu Street, Yaba, Lagos, on Thursday, 25th June 2026. The exercise was well attended by branch delegates from the four zones of the Union, as well as observers and National officials of the Union.

The Returning Officer for the bye-elections was Comrade Oluchi Amaogu-Felix, Assistant General Secretary (Administration), Lagos Zone.

At the conclusion of the bye-elections, the following contestants were duly elected and returned unopposed to fill the vacant positions:

1. Comrade Adeyemo Kudirat Omolola – Branch Chairman

2. Comrade Peter Odigie Enearu – Branch Treasurer
