NUPENG CONDEMNS BLOOD BATH IN CHURCH AT OZUBULU
The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) condemn in its entirety the recent killing of worshippers at St. Philips Catholic Church, Amakwa-Ozubulu in Anambra State.
It states that the killing is one too many and calls on the security agencies to bring the culprits to book. The Union states that the killing of innocent worshippers in a House of God is a national disgrace and embarrassment as if we have no fear of God at heart.
The Union is worried that people can be so wicked to bring their personal scores to cause mayhem in the house of God.
NUPENG states that the Federal Government must be proactive and re- strategise in giving more intelligence and rapid response to happenings in order to avert such disasters.
It calls on the Federal, State and Local Governments to be up and doing and bring such criminals to face the wrath of the law.
NUPENG reiterates that one of the major challenges facing the Buhari administration is the issue of security, whereby human life no longer has any meaning.
It wants all hands to be on deck as security matter is everybody’s business and calls on the International Police (Interpol) to help in bringing sponsors of such killings to face the music.
