The National President of NUPENG and the General Secretary, Comrade Williams Akporeha and Comrade Afolabi Olawale making case for contract workers at the 2019 Annual General Meeting of Royal Dutch Shell which held at the Circustheater, Circusstraat 4, 2586 CW, The Hague, Netherlands on Tuesday May 21, 2019.

The astute Union leaders used the occasion to draw stakeholders and investors’ attention to dozens of infractions meted on members of the Union in Nigeria, an aberration which could potentially cost the oil giant (Shell) its reputation.

Comrade Afolabi was also seen addressing Shell teeming shareholders as well as the CEO, Ben van Beurden about the activities of the company as it affects the Union in terms of membership, financial capacity and ability to adequately organize and represent Nigerian oil and gas workers which has been adversely affected by repressive anti-labour and Union activities of the multinational oil company (Shell).
